I am always curious about odd things. On a family vacation, we visited a school here in Texas whose mission is to preserve traditional techniques for woodworking, blacksmithing and weaving among other areas whose knowledge is at risk for being lost due to modernization. They vaguely talked about linen whose fibers come from the flax plant. This intrigued me since I had only seen linen cloth once, years ago. A neat fabric. I ran across this link that explains the process for growing the flax to producing the yarn for weaving. A really involved process. A great article that makes one better appreciate that amazing fabric.
